ICF-accredited. Auckland-based. 8 years coaching tech professionals — from new graduates to senior leaders — to communicate with genuine confidence.
Your coach
I've spent the last eight years teaching communication skills to over 200 tech professionals — from fresh graduates navigating their first workplace to senior leaders preparing for delicate conversations. In that time I've learned one vital truth: one-day workshops don't create sustained change.
My goal isn't to force you into a one-size-fits-all box. Whether you're a Silent Observer looking to find your voice in small groups, a mid-career professional who wants to be heard in the right rooms, or a Confident Communicator preparing for high-stakes stakeholder influence, our work together will be tailored to where you actually are.
As an ICF-accredited coach, I combine mentoring and training with a listening-first approach. I'm here to help you move from stumbling over words to speaking with confidence, clarity, and respect. I'll be your coach, your cheerleader, and your occasional human Yoda. ("Find your voice, you will.")
I work with individuals across Auckland and worldwide via Zoom — and with HR and L&D teams looking to invest in their people's growth with something that actually lasts.
"Real growth requires time to absorb, adjust, and assimilate new habits into your daily professional life. That's exactly what this programme is designed to do." — David White, ICF-accredited Coach
How I work
Three principles that shape every session I run — regardless of where you are in your career.
Before we work on how you speak, I listen carefully to what's actually getting in your way. Most communication problems have a root cause that a generic workshop never reaches.
A graduate and a senior leader don't share the same challenges. Nor the same goals. Your growth roadmap is built for your role, your situation, and your personality — not borrowed from a workbook.
Sessions are spaced at least two weeks apart so you can apply each insight, each skill, each technique in your real environment and bring genuine feedback to our next call. That's how skills become habits — the things you do automatically.
Professional standards and qualifications
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the world's largest professional coaching organisation. Accreditation requires demonstrated coaching hours, formal training, and a commitment to an ongoing code of ethics — it can't be bought or self-awarded.
As an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), I operate under ICF's strict code of ethics. In practice, this means: everything you share stays confidential, our coaching contract is clear before we begin, and there is never any pressure to continue beyond what's right for you.

Beyond the coaching room
Coaching is what I do — but it's not all I am. Here's a little of what fills the rest of my world.
Whether it's a mountain bike ride through a nearby pine forest or an online race with my teammates on Zwift, cycling keeps me grounded. And fit. Progress one pedal stroke at a time — sounds a lot like coaching, really.
There's something about mountains. Whether in New Zealand, Scotland or Norway, getting out there — away from screens and schedules — is challenging and rejuvenating. And very eye-opening.
Spending quality time with my family, whether it's through adventures in the outdoors... or indoors... or simply sharing food together, reminds me of what truly matters: people.
